My Teaching
Currently, I am an adjunct Theatre Faculty member at Metropolitan Community College-Longview in Kansas City, MO, where I teach public speaking and serve as a Teaching Artist with The Coterie. I've also been fortunate enough to teach at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and the University of Central Missouri. I hold an M.F.A. in Acting and Directing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts.
I have extensive training in acting, voice, and movement techniques, including Stanislavsky, Meisner, Linklater, and Laban. I am certified in Seven Pillars Acting Technique and Colaianni Speechwork and am working toward certification in Fitzmaurice Voice.
I have taught various theatre courses, including Introduction to Acting, Dialects, Oral Interpretation of Literature, and Beginning Directing. My teaching emphasizes the practical application of skills in acting, public speaking, and directing. In addition to academic roles, I have also led workshops on public speaking and dialect coaching around Kansas City.
I am a proud VASTA and ATHE member and have been lucky enough to work professionally as an actor across the United States.
